From the network of the Research-Action project for the Third Sector and the SSE we continue to work to generate and consolidate spaces for the promotion and implementation of research-action projects that deal with the current and future challenges of the sector. Specifically, the aim is to support district and city projects, activities and services that promote and improve social cohesion, inclusion and diversity, community participation and action, cooperation, sustainability and the fight against climate change, the local economy and responsible consumption, and the well-being and rights of citizens.
The project, which started in 2022, continues thanks to the support of the Barcelona City Council grant and the network generated includes several Catalan universities: the University of Barcelona (UB), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), the International University of Catalonia (UIC) and the Abat Oliva CEU University.
The next meeting of the network will be on October 5 with the aim of planning the next academic year and it is proposed to generate spaces for dialogue between local social entities, universities and other European social actors in order to detect shared needs and find the most efficient formulas to result in a cross-border social impact.
