Research-Action in Social and Solidarity Economy

The Yunus Social Business Network Barcelona creates national and international projects in collaboration with the seven member universities as well as with other research centres, vocational training centres, public entities and social enterprises in Europe. The objective is:

Promoting the social and solidarity economy from different strategic vectors

With the development of action research projects, the YSBNB aims to:

  • To promote the exchange of knowledge between the university and the social world for a better identification of the challenges faced by organizations, generating links between the academic world, the social economy, the third sector and social enterprises.
  • To facilitate European funding for social innovation by taking advantage of local and international alliances with key players on the European scene.

  • To promote awareness of the social and solidarity economy in Catalan society and the visibility of Catalonia as a benchmark territory in good practices in the sector, making public and political impact in Europe.

European Projects

Erasmus+

We develop research-action projects that respond to the challenges and needs of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) sector, generating links with the local fabric and European social organizations.

Single Market Programme

We design and promote projects that promote innovation, knowledge and dissemination of the social economy and social entrepreneurship with international and local agents. We understand the SSE as a transformative tool to combat inequalities. Some examples of implemented projects are:
